Imprisoned Lives – Isabel do Carmo

24 April 2019

Isabel do Carmo was this afternoon at the Aljube Museum, in a new session of Imprisoned Lives, with Ana Aranha, in an auditorium full of people attentive to the history and stories of a woman who assumes her participation in the Revolutionary Brigades and in the armed struggle with one condition : “Do not kill anyone. This was always the principle. The question was to choose targets. And they were almost always military targets, linked to the Colonial War.”

It was also the way to resist. She admits that she was willing to do everything, even to die, and that not giving up was a mark of her own dignity.
