“Violência Política no Século XX: Um Balanço” (Political Violence in the Twentieth Century: a Balance) by Ana S. Ferreira, João Madeira and Pau Casanellas (coord.)
5 of June of 2018 - 18h30 Aljube Museum Auditorium
In partnership with the Women's Democratic Movement (MDM) we welcomed women from Marinha Grande who were resisting the dictatorship for a conversation about their memories of participating in strikes and workers' struggles in the glass industry, of repression and imprisonment by PIDE, and of fighting for women's rights and freedom.
Through the voice of other Marias we will dive into the "New Portuguese Letters" within the temporary exhibition WOMEN AND RESISTANCE - New Portuguese Letters and other struggles.
In the scope of the parallel programming of the temporary exhibition "WOMEN AND RESISTANCE - New Portuguese Letters and other struggles" we welcome anti-fascist resistance women for a cycle of conversations around the experiences of resistance to dictatorship and the struggle for women's rights, still so necessary and current nowadays.
